Course Objectives 
Upon the completion of the course, participants will be able to:
•    Understand the benefits of health and safety in the workplace.  
•    Recognize the hazards and controls associated with different workplace activities. 
•    Understand the systematic steps of job hazard analysis.  
•    Understand and apply the hierarchy of hazard control techniques.
•    Understand the value of personal protective equipment (PPE), usage, inspection, and limitations.
•    Understand fire combustion theory, fire classification and different types of fire extinguishers.
•    Know how to react and respond in case of an emergency. 
•    Be aware of the permit to work system.
•    Have a good knowledge of common causes of slips, trips and falls.
•    Know what measures to take to minimize the potential for slips, trips and falls.

•    Provide the knowledge to understand what hazardous materials are.
•    Recognize the elements required of a Hazard Communication Standard training program.
•    Identify material safety data sheets elements.
•    Recognize work situations in their own jobs that might cause ergonomic problems.
•    Carry out manual handling techniques in a safe and efficient manner.
•    Help drivers operating the forklift safely on a day-to-day basis.
•    Understand the STOP System approach and its reflection on workplace safety performance.
•    Create and manage a successful safety culture.
•    The objective of this training course is to introduce the participants to the study of workplace occupational health and safety in addition to raising employee’s safety culture. The training covers a variety of logistics and transportation industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.
•    BOSH training is well-developed module and customized for the logistics industry to enable concerned personnel identify and prevent or correct problems associated with occupational health and safety in a workplace environment as well as in their homes, so none of these unsafe conditions or unsafe acts turn into life-threating situations that curb company productive outputs. 
•    Creating a safety culture in the workplace can be difficult but this course will provide the tools necessary to start implementing an effective safety program in the workplace. 

Course Materials 
•    Each participant will receive colored print handout for the training course. 
•    Handout can be in English or Arabic based on your request.

Course Language
•    Arabic but most terminology is in English. 
•    Training can be presented in English only based on request.

Course Methodology
Training methods and techniques are almost infinite in their variety. They can be used on their own or in creative combination. However, they should be chosen carefully to fit the activity, the nature of participants, the cultural milieu and the facilities available for using them. We use different methodologies in training to ensure good communication of information to all trainees - but not limited to the following:

•    Lectures and PowerPoint Presentation 
•    Case Studies, Self-Questioner and Real-World Scenarios 
•    Visual Aid (Videos Simulation) 
•    Brainstorming (Perception Activity)
•    Gamification (Puzzles)

Course Assessment & Certification 
•    This course is assessed by 30 Minutes multiple-choice open-book assessment by the end of the second training day 
•    Trainees will receive A4 Certificate and course transcript from ita.co (R.N: 12909)
